• Around 120 planters helped create the forest at Arboretum Marbella |
THE first Ikea Family Forest has been created in Arboretum Marbella, with 120 participants planting trees.
Group members received the GPS coordinates of the trees they planted so they can track their progress.
Arboretum Marbella, situated behind the bus station, launched in November and aims to create a ‘people’s forest’ with thousands of plants and trees that are native to the Malaga area.
The forest is being planted on the concept of permaculture and will incorporate a total of 131 native species.
