WALKOUT: New Year Strikes could affect hundreds of flights and thousands of British holidaymakers

THE BUDGET airline has announced a new policy on cabin baggage which will come into effect on January 15.

From Monday passengers will only be able to bring one small bag into the cabin unless a ‘Priority & 2 Cabin Bags’ ticket is purchased.

For non-priority customers, a small bag of 35cmx20cmx20cm (a handbag or laptop) will be permitted on board, with a second 10kg bag to be tagged at the gate and put into the hold free of charge.

Anyone purchasing a Priority & 2 Cabin Bags, Flexi Plus, Plus or Family Plus will be permitted to bring both of their cabin bags on board.

Ryanair has warned that failure to comply with the new rules will result in an extra charge of £50 per item and possible delays.
