Digital age of Spanish art

A FESTIVAL of digital culture is to kick off in Sevilla this month.

The first Ubicua festival aims to blend cutting-edge art with new technologies.

It will coincide with the opening of the new Laboratory of Art and Digital Culture at the University of Sevilla.

World-renowned media artist Daniel Canogar will present his work at the festival, which also features hands-on workshops and a discussion on the evolution of the digital age.

A panel of judges will select three future project proposals to receive funding and each day will end with a digital video installation and performance.

The festival runs from May 18-20 at the former Labour Law building on Calle Madre de Dios.
