ANDALUCIA has registered 2,649 COVID-19 cases by PCR and rapid antibody tests on Monday.
According to the regional health ministry, there were 13 deaths from the virus in the past 24 hours.
The total number of confirmed cases in the southernmost region since the pandemic began is now 116,868.
Meanwhile, the total death toll in the most populous autonomous community sits at 2,348.
Once again Sevilla and Granada are the provinces which detected the most cases in the past 24 hours, clocking 679 and 460 respectively.
They are followed by Jaen with 407, Cordoba 398, Malaga 237, Huelva 190, Almeria 161 and Cadiz 117.
Meanwhile concern is rising on the hospital front as the number of patients with coronavirus is nearing the figure of the peak of the pandemic.
There are now 2,144 people in Andalucia hospitals with COVID-19, an increase of 174 in the past 24 hours.
Of these 249 are in intensive care units, 19 more than yesterday.
At the height of the first wave on March 30, Andalucia had 2,709 coronavirus patients in hospitals and 438 of them in ICUs.
