OFFICERS from the environment department of the Guardia Civil (Seprona) have arrested three men for poaching.
Two were detained for the illegal fishing of ten common trout from the Maitena river inside the boundaries of the Sierra Nevada National Park.
Civil guards also arrested a man, from Alfarnate in Málaga, for trapping and then shooting wild boars in the Sierra de Loja mountain range.
The boar hunting season runs from late October until the end of February.
