Drink driving death

TWO women were killed by a drink driver on a zebra crossing in Sevilla on Friday night.

The friends, 26 and 30, were hit by the driver at 12.30 am as they were walking home across Cristobal Colon Zebra crossing.

Two men, 30 and 18, were with the girls and were also injured next to the Torre del Oro.

The driver of the Renault Clio tested positive for alcohol with the son of Sevilla Football Club chairman, José María del Nido, a passenger.

Holy Week has seen 42 people die on Spain’s roads up to 8pm on Sunday compared to 48 deaths last year.

  1. Driving drunk is a serious premeditated crime that needs preventing positively. Have random stops outside bars and crush the vehicles of offenders. Withy all the publicity there is no excuse for driving drunk.
