Oz pupils perform concert in Andalucia

A CHOIR and chamber orchestra from the MLC School in Sydney, Australia are performing a concert in Andalucia this weekend.

MLC School is a private girl’s school from Sydney Australia. It has an excellent reputation with an incredible musical education programme which has won prizes for innovative projects that have contributed towards the development and progress of Australian music.

The choir and chamber orchestra has been on many international tours in Europe and have performed in venues of exceptional historic tradition such as the Parisian Cathedral of Notre Same, the church of Saint-Louis en L’Ile, Salzburg Cathedral, the Peterskirche in Vienna, Martinu Hall in Prague, St Jacob’s Cathedral and the Matthias Church in Budapest and St Martin in the Fields in London.

Their 2010 Spain tour will be a new experience for these two musical ensembles. The majority of the music they will be performing has been written especially for this tour, that they are looking forward to sharing deep Australian traditions with Spanish audiences.

In Andalucia they will be performing in La Colegiat, Campo de Cipreses, Osuna on Sunday 3rd October 2010 – 12.30pm. The programme will feature Sacred and Classical Australian Music. Entrance is free.
