Spanish bullfighting is off the box

SPANISH state television has banned broadcasting bullfighting because it is ‘too violent for children.’

In an unprecedented move RTVE said the fights conflict with their policy on showing ‘violence with animals’ at peak viewing times.

Ironically the broadcaster launched 51 years-ago with a live bullfight but since 2007 dropped all live fights, only showing censored, pre-recorded material.
