ALHAURIN councillor Cristobal Bonilla has appeared in court accused of building a three-bedroom house with a swimming pool on protected land.
The house did not have planning permission and Bonilla argues that he was building the residence for agricultural purposes.
He faces a year in prison, a 5,400-euro fine and two years’ suspension from his post if found guilty.
