Andalucia scoops five of Spain’s top 10 tourist destinations

top ten seville

ANDALUCIA is the proud owner of half of the top 10 destinations in Spain, according to TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards 2014.

Home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Seville was the top Andalucian destination, ranked third nationally.

Granada, Malaga, Marbella and Cordoba also earned themselves a place in the top 10, as voted for by TripAdvisor users over the last 12 months.

It is the first time that Marbella has made it into the top 10, and Mayor Maria Angeles Munoz and the Councillor for Tourism, Jose Luis Hernandez, attended the awards ceremony in Madrid this week to celebrate.

Barcelona, Madrid and Seville made up the top three in the country, in the sixth annual awards, followed by Granada, Corralejo, Malaga, Marbella, Calvia, Cordoba and Soller.

  1. I can’t see why Malaga would be a top tourist destination…

Its just a beach with pubs & restaurants along the promenade

Oh, and of course, hoards of shaven headed, tattooed, p*ssed tourists.

Which nationality could this lot be then?

    Great place, it MUST be…..

  2. Bing, what about the great museums, the new port area, the gardens, the Cathedral, the old quarter, Larios, the food market, the Alcabaza etc. Your description is not the Malaga I see, and I’m there most weeks.

  3. Fred and Christine I agree entirely . malaga has lots to offer with surprises round every corner.as for drunken tourjsts I ce never seen any where can bing ding be going….

  4. It’s good to see Fred the tedious troll posting something good about Spain.

Not sure where you live Bing Dong but you can avoid what you’ve experienced. Go into Malaga city, get on a route de tapas, explore, and your mind will be changed for good. It’s a great place.

  5. From Bing Dong’s superficial comment, I believe he MUST be related to DING DONG.. a sheltered fool who wouldn’t know the Mona Lisa if you hit him in his head with it. Both DONGS should always be covered up & sheltered for own good.
