TRAVELLING across the Australian outback is about to get a whole lot easier… thanks to two Spanish construction firms.
Ferrovial and Acciona have won a €1.1 billion contract to connect the town of Toowoomba to the main highway.
Work will begin in 2018 on a 41 kilometre highway and the Spanish companies will be in charge of maintenance for 25 years.
