A FOUR-YEAR-OLD British boy has drowned in a swimming pool in Mijas.

The boy was reportedly running around the pool at Mijas Golf urbanisation with other children at around 9pm when he fell in and drowned.

His parents, along with the parents of the other children, were having dinner at the time and did not realise their child had fallen into the pool until a teenager raised the alarm.

By that time, however, it was already too late, as efforts to resuscitate the boy failed and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

  1. Wheres the fence with the locked gate? A couple of years back the law was changed so that every public pool, (inc communities) has to have a life guard during the day, and locked at night. I cant really see in that tiny picture, but it looks like no fence.
    Sad sad story.
