Moroccan man arrested in Spain over alleged Jihadi recruiting

isisA MOROCCAN man has been arrested in Spain on suspicion of recruiting fighters for the Islamic State terrorist group.

The Interior Ministry confirmed the alleged recruiter was arrested by Spanish police in Valencia.

It is believed the suspect used multiple social media accounts to lure extremist sympathisers, all the while maintaining contact with Islamic State operatives in Syria and Iraq.

He has not yet been identified.
