MALIA OBAMA has landed an internship at the United States Embassy in Madrid.

The first daughter, who speaks fluent Spanish, will leave the US in a few weeks and stay for the whole summer.

The internship offer comes after news that the 17 year old has been accepted into Harvard, where she will follow in her parents footsteps next year.

The daughter of Barack Obama visited Liberia, Morocco and Madrid in a whistle-stop tour with mum Michelle and sister Sasha.

The trio were promoting women’s education through the First Lady’s Let Girls Learn initiative.
