THIS is the moment more than 30 migrants were forced to abandon their dinghy as it caught fire off of Spain’s southern coast.

The video, released by EU border agency Frontex, shows 34 migrants jumping ship when flames suddenly erupted on their black rubber boat and spread rapidly.

Frontex’s maritime surveillance notified Spanish coastguards, who sent a helicopter and several boats to the area southwest of Alboran Island between Morocco and Spain.

The migrants, whose nationalities were not disclosed, were taken to the port of Motril in Granada.

A fisherman sailing in the area also helped in the rescue effort.
