A BRIT who has been on the run for 10 years has been arrested by police.

Known only as AJL, he has appeared before a court in La Linea de la Concepcion on a European Arrest Warrant.

He is alleged to have been involved in a fight with two La Linea cops back in 2007, where one officer was assaulted and another was injured.

After hearing he was around the Los Barrios area, cops eventually recognised the man as he was about to visit a shop in the Guadacorte area and arrested him.

He was found with a fake driving licence and ID card, which had been issued in Gibraltar.

He also had several different vehicles.
