Body found of hero Malaga policeman who saved trapped passengers during floods in Sevilla

THE body of a hero policeman who was swept away while rescuing a trapped driver during a flood has been found.

Diego Diaz disappeared when he was taken by rapids in the Galapagar de Guillena stream in Sevilla on Saturday night.

He managed to rescue every passenger from the trapped car before the water took him.

The body was found 300 meters from where the accident happened.

Some 200 police, firemen and volunteers had been searching for Diaz.
