Mystery as dead body found floating in communal pool on Spain’s Costa del Sol

SCENE: Of death in Mijas

AN investigation is underway after a body was found floating in a communal pool on the Costa del Sol this morning. 

The lifeless man was pulled out of the water in the Bonita Hill urbanisation in Mijas.

According to emergency services 112 Andalucia, the alarm was raised by a neighbour just before 9am.

Guardia Civil, firefighters, an ambulance and Policia Local all rushed to the scene on Calle Don Jose de Orbaneja in Calahonda.

A spokesperson from 112 Andalucia told the Olive Press today that the man’s nationality has yet to be confirmed.

Guardia Civil are now investigating the death.
