DEATH CHEAT: A man drove four kilometres down the wrong side of the A-92 before having an accident and being arrested

A MAN has been arrested for driving four kilometres the wrong way down a dual carriageway.

The 52-year-old was held in Fuente de Piedra after he had an accident while on the left hand side of the road.

He was travelling down the A-92, where speed limits are up to 80/kmph.

SOBER: Breathalyser results revealed that the man was not under the influence of drink or drugs

The Guardia Civil confirmed that the incident on Wednesday at about 10:15pm was not serious and nobody was injured.

The suspect is believed to have joined the highway in Mollina, travelling in the direction of Sevilla before his arrest.

Breathalyser tests found that the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Officers are working with the theory he may have been confused due to illness.

An investigation has now been launched.
