THEY do, of course, call it the Costa del Crime.
So it is no surprise that a trio of movie hardmen will star at this year’s Marbella Film Festival (MIFF).
Kris Marshall from Death in Paradise, Craig Fairbrass from The Bank Job and Jason Flemyng from Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels are among the celebrity guests set to strut their stuff on the red carpet at MIFF this year.
Among the films having their world premieres during next month’s event will be the crime thriller Trick & Treat which was shot in the town last year.
The cast includes Terry Stone, Emily Wyatt, Jessica Wright, Nick Nevern and Andy Loveday, who directed the film.
Other stars set to attend screenings for 14th annual festival include Gavin and Stacy actor Larry Lamb.
Hundreds of film fans are expected to descend on Marbella for the festival, which runs from October 2 – 6.
The five-day movie extravaganza will see 30 independent films shown at the Teatro Goya in Puerto Banus.
This year’s films have been sourced from Spain, the UK, the USA, Switzerland, Brazil, Mexico, Ukraine, Turkey, Argentina, China, Poland, India, Paraguay and Germany.
The event should be the ‘biggest yet’ according to director Mac Chakaveh.
He said: “There are at least three world premieres this year and Marbella’s Film Festival is now becoming the event everyone talks about.”
