ORIHUELA City Council has just issued a press release stating that all citizens must refrain from driving the streets, due to the torrential rain today.

The Municipal Operational Cooperation Center (CECOPAL) published a list of precautionary measures to inform locals.

So far, access to the City of Orihuela and the circulation of vehicles is prohibited.

The Oriol Occupational Center has been evacuated due to flooding.

Civil Protection and Red Cross are providing shelter in the Virgen de la Puerta school.

All staff of the CECOPAL are attending major incidents at street level,
