A WOMAN who was brutally struck several times to the head and chest by her husband remains in critical condition at Son Espases Hospital, Mallorca.
The assailant, 50, a Cuban known as Juan PR, severely injured his former partner, 44, on Wednesday afternoon, just outside the Campos district.
The assailant then handed himself into a police patrol on the streets, before going to the Civil Guard headquarters.
The assault took place after a heated argument broke out between the pair, who together have two small children.
