GLOBAL hotel chain Ikos is set to open a €150 million luxury hotel in Estepona, creating 700 jobs for the Costa del Sol. 

Over 2,200 people have already applied to work in Ikos’s first hotel in Spain, which will open in May 2020.

Ikos Andalusia will boast 400 rooms, seven restaurants, as well as indoor and outdoor pools.

The Greek business is looking to fill the vacancies with people who are wanting to build a career in the hospitality sector. 

Ikos wants at least half of the 700 employees to be local to the area. 

CEO of Ikos Iberia, Luis Herault, said: “our intention is to invest 700 million euros in Spain and Portugal in the next four or five years with resorts like Estepona.”

Ikos was founded in 2014 and has hotels on several Greek islands.
