THE A-397 which connects the Costa del Sol to Ronda is getting a much needed makeover.

The Junta has announced that around €1 million will be invested into the so-called Ronda road, which ends in San Pedro de Alcantara, Marbella.

The works will lay new asphalt and introduce traffic lights.

Regional development minister Marifran Carazo has also announced €4.3 million to improve the A-373 road between Villamartin and Algatocin.

Another €4 million has also been promised for the road between Ronda and Ardales.

A study is also being carried out on a future motorway connection to Ronda following increasing demands from local residents for better connections.
