A BRITISH mum described as ‘beautiful and caring’ has died on a family holiday in Spain.
Megan Brannan, 24, from Motherwell, Scotland, leaves behind her 11-month-old baby girl Kaedy.
The hair extension technician had been staying with relatives at the Royal Sunset Beach Club in Costa Adeje, Tenerife.
“Last night I received the worst news a friend ever could,” her mate Chloe Stewart said, according to the Daily Record.
She added: “My beautifully wonderful, caring, and loving best pal has sadly gained her angel wings.
“You did not deserve this. Life is so cruel.”
Megan suddenly died on Monday, but the cause of her death is still unknown.
Although thought to be holidaying, local paper El Dia reported that Megan had taken up a bar job in the south of Tenerife.
A family friend said Megan had ‘gone out at night on Saturday and felt bad on Sunday.’
Megan reportedly woke up the next day, but was then later found lifeless by her dad.
A GoFundMe page to help the grieving family has raised over £1,000.
A Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokesperson said: “We are supporting the family of a British woman who died in Tenerife and our staff are in contact with the Spanish authorities.”
