COVID-19 fall in latest infection figures from Spain’s Costa Blanca

COVID-19 cases falling briskly in Costa Blanca and Valencia areas of Spain

NEW COVID-19 cases have fallen by almost half over 24 hours in Alicante Province.

Latest figures released last night(September 30) by the Valencian Health Ministry reported 160 additional infections compared to 293 on Tuesday.

The Valencian Community as a whole showed a significant fall over a day from 903 to 613.

One death was registered in Alicante Province with seven new outbreaks detected in Almoradi, Elche and Finestrat, with two each in Elda and Orihuela.

129 people are hospitalised with 36 patients in local ITUs.

September saw a 62 per cent rise in COVID-19 case numbers in the Valencian Community to reach a total of 40,738 infections, compared to the August-end figure of 25,028.
