Spain’s Andalucia records 3,937 COVID-19 cases Tuesday and 34 deaths

Covid Numbers Tues

ANDALUCIA has registered 3,937 coronavirus cases on Tuesday by PCR and antibody testing.

According to the Andalucia Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA), the southernmost region also recorded 34 deaths.

The daily case count represents the third day in a row that it has dropped, coming down from 4,406 on Monday, 5,243 on Sunday and 5,622 on Saturday.

However the figure is much higher than the 2,823 recorded exactly seven days ago.

It means it will take for the rest of the week and possibly the start of next week to see whether the new restrictions are beginning to have an impact.

Sevilla recorded the most COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, clocking 965, followed by Granada with 788, Cadiz with 579, Jaen with 573, Cordoba with 459, Malaga with 283, Huelva with 153 and Almeria with 137 .

Meanwhile Granada saw the most deaths with 16, followed by Jaen with eight, Cordoba with six, Cadiz with three, Almeria, Malaga and Sevilla with one each, and Huelva with none.
