A BABY has been rushed to the hospital in northern Spain after testing positive for cocaine.
The 19-months-old toddler was admitted at the Grande Covian Hospital in Arriondas with symptoms consistent with drug ingestion, shortly after the child arrived on Wednesday.
The baby’s father brought him to the medical centre, fearing possible poisoning after picking up his child from his ex-partner’s house.
Medical staff quickly carried out toxicology tests and confirmed the presence of cocaine in the baby’s system.
