Prominent social media influencer is sexually assaulted next to beach in Spain
GANDIA BEACH, VALENCIA PROVINCE

A PROMINENT social media influencer who was on a break in Gandia(Valencia) has been sexually assaulted.

The Policia Nacional said the 35-year-old foreign national was attacked last Friday morning at around 00.30.

She was spending a few days in Gandia’s beach area and was uploading videos to platforms like TikTok.

The woman’s nationality has not been revealed but authorities contacted the appropriate consulate to find and inform a family member about what happened.

The Levante newspaper reported that a man from the El Grau area of Gandia was out walking his dog when he spotted a sobbing woman between two cars.

He tried to comfort her and then called the Policia Nacional who sent a patrol car to the scene.

The victim told officers that she had been sexually assaulted by a man a few minutes earlier.

She was taken to Gandia’s San Francesc de Borja hospital where she was admitted for an examination.

Levante said the woman was walking down a road parallel to Gandia beach after being in a bar or club.

At least one stranger approached and then sexually assaulted her, leaving the victim dumped between two cars.

No arrests have so far been made, with officers interviewing the dog walker and also a resident who may have heard something when she was on the balcony of her property.

Surveillance camera footage is being analysed as well as social media networks to see if the victim had received a threatening message or arranged to meet a person.
