SPAIN’s biggest residential development will launch on the Costa del Sol as hundreds of luxury flats go on sale to replace the old abandoned Hotel Melia.
The sale phase of 353 new homes has begun in Torremolinos as a new development is set to replace an old hotel that had been abandoned.
Ranging from one to four bedrooms, the properties developed by the Abu Group will each have a kitchen, living room and dining room.

Their construction will require a predicted investment of 250 million and, according to the company, is currently the largest development in Spain in terms of revenue.
Named the Magna residency, it is the ‘most ambitious’ project of developments on this scale.
Only a few minutes away from the Carihuela beach, the site will offer a social club, gym, coworking space, multi-usage rooms and a bar.
Beyond these facilities, it will also have landscaped gardens and a pool area.
Taking advantage of the site’s slope, the building will reach the maximum height allowed on Carlota Alessandri Avenue and will back on to España Avenue until it meets Puerto Real Street. At each new road the number of stories will decline.

“The stepped design of the complex and the layout of the units are planned so that most units feature prominent views,” the company stated.
These views will include both the sea and the mountains with many of the properties having “spacious terraces” that will open onto the “complex’s interior garden spaces, a green oasis and the residential complex’s standout feature”.
As well as being the base of over 300 homes, the development will also have 750 parking spaces, meaning each home owner has at least two spots, and 25 commercial venues.
