MURDER suspect Jonathan Andic brought forward video evidence to claim innocence in his father’s death before temporarily stepping down from his position.
Jonathan Andic’s defence team has brought forward new evidence to assert the Mango vice-Chairman’s innocence.
An alleged fall of the 71-year-old took place at the Mutua Universal headquarters in Barcelona just three months before the Mango founder fell to his death on a hike with his eldest son.
Jonathan’s legal team plans to present the security footage of this previous fall to appeal the judge’s homicide charge.
On Tuesday, Mango informed its employees that the heir to the fashion empire has decided to temporarily step down from his role to ‘focus on defending himself’ with the ongoing murder case.

In an open letter to Mango employees, Jonathan addressed that he cannot ‘maintain the high levels of dedication required by my role in the company.’
His team of defence lawyers plans to present the security footage to show that the fashion brand founder had some type of health issue, or was not as fit as previously realised before his untimely death three months later.
The son of the Mango empire is currently the lead suspect in his father’s murder case, an ongoing criminal investigation that began after Isak Andic fell off a rocky ravine outside of Barcelona in December 2024.

A judge charged Jonathan with homicide after seven pieces of evidence alleged that the son was responsible for his father’s fall.
Within less than an hour of the judge placing his bail at one million euros, Jonathan paid the bail fee and was released on the condition of frequently returning to the court to avoid fleeing the country.
The deadline for Jonathan’s defence team to give their appeal is this Wednesday, in which they plan to break down and dismantle all pieces of evidence against him.
Video footage of an earlier fall by his father is included along with a potential contamination of the crime scene with ‘deliberate’ fingerprints.
