EXTRA bus services will be introduced from June 1 between Alicante City Centre and Alicante-Elche airport- in time for the peak summer season.
With record passenger numbers being clocked up at the Costa Blanca facility, bus operator Vectalia says its ramping up its timetable on its C-6 route
As from next week, the current 80 journeys per day will go up to 92 in a bid to cut down on long queues during the high season.

Six buses will be in use continually during the day with Vectalia promising that waiting times will be cut by two minutes.
The 24-hour service will also be boosted at night with buses running every 30 minutes.
The company pointed out that it is responding to growing demand in recent years on the C-6 route.
It added that the changes will mean that users will have a more ‘fluid and frequent’ connection in a bid to improve the quality of public transport to and from Alicante-Elche airport.
Vectalia promised a ‘more efficient service’ both for air passengers and also for airport staff who use buses every day.
There has been criticism in recent years over bus and taxi availability at the airport during the high season.
Problems have arisen especially during the evening when a cluster of flights arrive within a matter of minutes.
