A SCOTTISH teenager has recounted her horrifying ordeal after she was spiked with an injectable drug at a Mallorca nightclub.
Footballer Taylor Coulter, 18, told the Daily Record she was left unable to ‘walk, talk or hear anything’ after a stranger plunged a needle into her arm at Bananas club, on Magaluf’s strip.
Originally from Port Glasgow, Coulter had travelled with friends to the island on June 18 – but her holiday turned into nightmare when she collapsed on the dance floor minutes after the terrifying encounter.
“I was making my way back from the bathroom when the man bumped into me,” Coulter told the Daily Record.
“I instantly felt a sharp pain in my arm and cold liquid running through my body. As I made my way back to my friends, I collapsed into one of them and everything went black.”
Thankfully, the young Greenock Morton Women’s FC midfielder said, her friends immediately stepped into action, taking her back to their hotel before calling an ambulance.
They gave her a cold shower, Coulter continued, but she kept vomiting and her vision was blurry.
“I remember thinking ‘Am I going to survive? Am I going to make it?’ I was so scared I was going to die. If my pals hadn’t been there, who knows what might have happened to me,” she said.
Once at the hospital, doctors told her she had been spiked with GHB – an odourless, colourless and almost tasteless substance often used to render victims unconscious.

They put Coulter on a drip and antibiotics before testing for HIV and sexually transmitted diseases – an unsettling requirement when victims are pricked with needles.
Taylor was discharged from hospital the following day, and the matter was formally reported to the Spanish authorities.
Recovering at home, she believes she became a target after separating from her friends to go to the bathroom alone.
Speaking to the Record, her father, Stuart, said the experience was every parent’s worst fear.
He urged young Scots heading abroad for their first big summer holiday to remain vigilant and avoid finding themselves alone in unfamiliar surroundings.
He added: “Taylor thinks she was targeted because she is a young female who was seen alone.
“It can happen to anyone and even boys get targeted so they can be robbed. The aftermath of this incident has been horrendous for our family.”
