A THREE-STOREY building in the Valencian town of Benetusser collapsed on Tuesday night but nobody was injured.
Around 20 minutes earlier, residents heard strange noises and saw the appearance of cracks in the wall, prompting them to get out.
A building is under construction next door and one of the residents blamed the collapse on earth being dug up on an adjoining plot.

Firefighters from Torrent and Catarroja went to Calle Las Americas at around 10pm and confirmed the cracks and noises.
A security cordon was set up and then minutes later, the evacuated building totally collapsed.
The structure was reduced to a large mountain of rubble, beams and remains of construction materials.
It was confirmed that were no injuries and that nobody was trapped in the rubble.
Damage was caused to some parked cars.
As a precaution, another property has subsequently been evacuated, ahead of an inspection by Benetusser council officials.
The fire crews acted in coordination with municipal authorities, as well as gas and electricity supply companies.
The council is providing accommodation to the affected residents and will advise them on insurance claims.
An appeal has been launched to provide clothes to the dislodged residents who have been left with nothing.
One of the families has also appealed for information about the whereabouts of their two cats.
