Mallorca dance teacher arrested after ‘sexually abusing children and sharing attack videos on the dark web’

A DANCE teacher in Mallorca has been arrested after allegedly sexually abusing five female students aged between eight and 12 and distributing videos of the attacks on messaging apps and the dark web.

The 25-year-old Spaniard has been remanded in custody by a judge in Inca and will face charges of sexual assault, corruption of minors, degrading treatment and producing, possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material.

The Guardia Civil launched an investigation into the case after receiving an alert from the International Child Sexual Exploitation database, which identified a series of videos showing the abuse of an unidentified young girl.

Officers said the material consisted of 27 videos and two photos that had been shared through messaging applications and a dark web forum used by paedophiles.

Investigators were able to trace the location of the abuse after spotting the logo on a T-shirt visible in one of the recordings and linking it to a breakdance group in Mallorca.

From there, they examined social media posts from local competitions before identifying the suspect through his Instagram and TikTok accounts.

The alleged abuse is believed to have begun no earlier than March 20 this year.

According to the police, the accused was previously arrested in May 2023 on a separate sexual assault charge.

The current investigation remains ongoing, with authorities saying it is likely that further victims will be identified.
