A MASSIVE stench still surrounds the mysterious death of teenager Nikoline Piwoni, killed in a hit-and-run six weeks ago.
Police arrested one suspect, but he was released after CCTV apparently placed him at home at the time.
Since then, our journalists have painstakingly traced the Norwegian teenager’s final hours, establishing that she may have been spiked at the club.
We also reported how she was seen in conversation with a group of men at the nearby Repsol petrol station – and may have got into a white car with them.
These are precisely the questions the police should be answering.
Particularly because Repsol refused to hand over its CCTV to us when we tried to establish what happened ourselves.
Now comes the truly worrying part.
More than a month has passed since that night – meaning potentially crucial CCTV footage may no longer exist.
If that footage has been erased, why was it not secured?

It is an extraordinary situation in a case involving the death of a teenage girl, and one that will understandably leave her family asking whether every possible avenue was properly pursued.
It is also a question for parents across the Costas, who deserve to know that when the unthinkable happens to their children, every piece of evidence will be chased down and preserved.
So, more than six weeks on, we are still left asking:
Who was driving the car that killed Nikoline?
Who was the Uber driver?
And was Nikoline drugged in the club before she died?
These are not questions that should be left hanging indefinitely. Nikoline’s family deserve answers.
