SPECIAL MULTIMEDIA INVESTIGATION: Inside the noise row accusing Torremolinos City Hall ‘violating’ citizens ‘fundamental rights’

Special Multimedia Investigation: Residents’ evidence, noise-monitoring data and the machinery at the centre of a bitter dispute that has taken Torremolinos City Hall to court over alleged inaction and violations of fundamental rights.

FOR MONTHS, residents living beside the Meliá hotel in Torremolinos have been fighting what they describe as relentless noise, while demanding stronger action from the authorities.

What began as complaints over disturbance has developed into a much bigger dispute involving noise measurements, council enforcement, frustrated neighbours and even legal action against Torremolinos Town Hall.
