Right turn into money

FORMER socialist prime minister Felipe Gonzalez has launched a private equity firm.

The former politician, along with 14 other executives, has raised 150 million euros to invest in small and medium-sized companies throughout Spain and Latin America.

Gonzalez, who is also business partners with Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, will focus the firm’s attention on science and IT industries.
