Picardo calls on Cameron over Gibraltar jet ski shooting

ROCK: Gibraltar leader Fabian Picardo said sovereignty is not up for discussion

CHIEF Minister Fabian Picardo has written to Prime Minister David Cameron to express his anger at Sunday’s shooting incident in Gibraltar.

Though Picardo ‘acknowledges and appreciates’ Britain’s outrage over the incident, which he calls ‘dangerous and wholly unacceptable’, he says it is not enough.

In his letter to Cameron, he writes: “Diplomatic action to date appears to have had no material effect.”

Despite pressure from the British government for explanations, Spanish officials continue to deny the incident.
