Cleaning strike wipes out classes in Jerez

A CLEANING strike forced thousands of pupils in Jerez out of the classroom.

A total of 47 schools have been disrupted.

The Department of Education was forced to close schools for several days for health reasons affecting nearly 5,000 students in the area.

The 200 workers have since returned to work after receiving one months wages.
