EU focus on climate and energy

NEW green energy targets took centre stage at the latest European Council meeting, outlining climate and energy policy for the EU to be reached by 2030.

A 40% cut in CO2 emissions, and a 27% increase in the use of renewable energy, is needed for the EU to once again become a global leader in climate policy.
