AN 81-year-old man has died on an Alicante street after a woman fell on him from a 7th floor balcony.

Sources close to the 48-year-old woman believe she was attempting to kill herself.

The  woman ‘fell’ off the high-rise balcony at 11.15am today on Calle Enrique Madrid, crushing the pensioner below.

The man died almost instantly while his wife, who was walking next to him, suffered a panic attack.

Both women were taken to San Juan hospital but the injuries incurred have not yet been released.
