British paedophile Matthew Sammon pleads guilty to sexual offences after hiding out on Costa del Sol

BRITISH paedophile Matthew Sammon has pleaded guilty to charges relating to sexual offences.  

Wanted for possessing and circulating indecent images of children, Sammon, 45, will be sentenced on Wednesday at Southwark Crown Court.

A spokesman for the National Crime Agency confirmed that Sammon had pleaded guilty but could not comment further.

Remanded in custody in London, Sammon is believed to have been hiding out on the Costa del Sol for almost two years.

Named as part of Operation Captura, Sammon – a black belt in jujitsu – was arrested by Spanish police in October following an Olive Press stake out.

Tipped off by expat reader Danny Reid, the Olive Press staked out Sammon at his camper van before calling in Crimestoppers to make the arrest.
