A MIGRANT has been found hiding in a shipping container in Malaga port.

Workers opened the container, which had come from Nador, Morocco, after hearing sounds coming from inside it.

They found a disorientated and dehydrated migrant, who had been hiding in the container without food or water for three days.

Policia Nacional arranged for the man to be returned to his country of origin after he was transferred to hospital.

It comes after three migrants were found in the same way at the end of August.

All three were transferred to the Regional hospital before being returned to their country of origin.

Saturday also saw 166 migrants have to be rescued near Malaga in the Alboran sea after their three boats came into trouble.
