KEEN on a house, but unsure if it’s worth the air miles for a viewing?
Virtual reality property tours have arrived on Spain’s Costa Blanca for just this reason.
Continuing a 10-year tradition of innovation, Alicante estate agent Jacaranda Spain has invested in state-of-the-art photographic equipment to give buyers a 360-degree tour of select properties listed online.
“It’s the future, and it’s already here,” business owner Rob Park told the Olive Press.
“Clients who are overseas can now walk through our listed houses without jumping on the plane.
“And if you have a VR headset, you’re literally there in the property.”
Park said his business’ ethos is to be a ‘new kind of real estate company’ that keeps up with the latest technology.
He said the foreign real estate market in Spain is ‘totally unlike’ his experience in the UK, as buyers don’t have the luxury of window shopping for properties in agents’ high-street offices.
“You’ve got to do something different here,” said Park, who cut his teeth with Stadman International before creating Jacaranda Spain.
“In a few years virtual reality and things like Google Glasses will be the new Amazon Alexa.
“So we’re at the cutting edge, helping customers sell the house they’ve loved, or buy the property in Spain they’re dreaming of.”
