Spain’s Klaus wins Best Animated Film at the BAFTAs

Klaus Bafta

KLAUS has won the BAFTA award for Best Animated Film.

The British Academy Film Awards which were hosted last night in London included a lot of jokes about Brexit, but also about Harry and Meghan, as best illustrated by Brad Pitt who named his award Harry and was ‘very excited in bringing it back to the States with him’.

They also included a big win for Spanish film Klaus, directed by Sergio Pablos.

The Netflix film came out on top against Frozen 2, Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon and Toy Story 4.

Pablos took to the stage to make his acceptance speech and thanked Netflix for ‘betting on it’.

He also thanked everyone who was involved with the film for ‘making this possible.’

The film is centred around Santa Klaus and is the first animated feature film made in Spain.

In just one week, the Christmas film is also going to be competing for an Oscar at this year’s Academy Awards.
