COVID-19 case numbers continue dropping in Costa Blanca and Valencia areas of Spain

COVID-19 deaths have reached their largest daily figure in the Valencian Community since April 29.

14 fatalities were reported by the regional health ministry last night(September 23) with 658 new infections.

Over half of the new cases(336) were confirmed in Alicante Province, a rise of 33 on Tuesday’s figures.

26 fresh outbreaks have been detected across the Valencian Community, including locations in Alcoy, Almoradi, Gandia, Monforte de Cid, Santa Pola, and Torrevieja.

With the exception of the Santa Pola outbreak, which is linked to a school, all of the other outbreaks in Alicante Province were caused by socialising.
