Recent COVID-19 downward trend reversed in new figures for Spain’s Costa Blanca

Downward trend continues for new COVID-19 cases in Costa Blanca and Valencia areas of Spain

NEW COVID-19 cases rebounded upwards to 903 in the Valencian Community, according to figures released last night(September 29).

That compared to the regional health ministry reporting 565 cases on Monday, which covered the weekend period.

Alicante Province recorded 293 new cases compared to 205 a day earlier, with two fatalities.

126 people are in provincial hospitals, with 33 in ITUs.

Outbreaks were reported in Alicante City, Elche, Pilar de la Horadada, Petrer, Aspe, and Denia.
