THE latest COVID-19 infection rates announced last night(October 21) for the Valencian Community have seen a big drop after Tuesday’s record daily total.

Alicante Province, including the Costa Blanca, had 251 new cases, which is 37 less than the previous Tuesday.

254 people are in Alicante Province hospitals with 52 of them in ICUs.

Elche, which is under special measures, reported another three oubreaks.

Outbreaks, of mainly social origin, were also flagged up in Alcoy, Alfaz del Pi, Benejuzar, Cox, Elda, and Orihuela.
