COVID-19 new case rate falls slightly on Spain’s Costa Blanca

Another big weekly fall in new COVID-19 cases is reported in Costa Blanca and Valencia areas of Spain

TUESDAY night’s(November 3) COVID-19 infection update from the Valencian Health Ministry has show a slight drop in Alicante Province compared to the last report on Monday.

486 new positive coronavirus cases were reported compared to 505 a day earlier.

The largest number of local infections were recorded around Petrer and Elda.

Seven new outbreaks were logged in Alicante Province, with the most serious one involving 11 cases in Dolores.

The Valencian Community as a whole recorded a record day since the start of the pandemic with 1,969 cases.

Many of those were discovered around the Valencia City area.

Alicante Province hospitalisations stand at 451, a fall of eight, with 76 patients in ICUs.
